Bio


Wolfram B Meyer studied the performing arts at Universit&aumlt der Künste in Berlin. Theater is in his blood: his parents met while both working in a production of Tannhäuser at the Wagner Festival in Bayreuth. Wolfram signed his first theater contract at age fifteen.His first permanent contracts as a soloist were at Musiktheater Görlitz, Germany and Theater Basel, Swizerland. Contracts at Bühnen der Stadt Bielefeld; Anhaltisches Theater Dessau; Musiktheater im Revier, Gelsenkirchen; Bühnen der Stadt Gera; Staatstheater Mainz, GmbH; Theater der Lhs. Magdeburg; Theater Vorpommern (Stralsund/ Greifswald) followed.Professional performing experience includes opera, operetta, concert, and recitals. Major singing roles include: Camille de Rossillion in Lehár’s The Merry Widow, Eisenstein in Johann Strauss’ The Bat; Tamino in Mozart’s Magic Flute, Rodolfo in Puccini’s La Bohème, Fernando in Donizetti’s La Favorita, Hugo von Ringstetten in Lortzing’s Undine, Max in Weber’s Freischütz and Don José in Bizet’s Carmen.Tours and guest appearances with Artist Direction Stage,  St. Gallen (Switzerland); Konzertdirektion Landgraf, Titisee-Neustadt; KammerOper Dresden; Platin Scala, (Germany) take him through Africa, North America and entire Europe.He regularly appears in concert halls such as Gewandhaus Leipzig, Alte Oper Frankfurt/Main, Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt and Philharmonie in Berlin, with solo tenor parts for example: Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Bruckner’s Te Deum & Mass f-minor, Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 2, Hymn of Praise and Haydn’s The Seasons.Between stage commitments he enjoys Lied recitals and has developed his own concert formats, his latest venture being "Die Csárdásfürsten ".
