His performances have also been celebrated as "el momento vocalmente más brillante" ("the most brilliant vocal moment") by Scherzo Magazine, and "Das stimmliche Ereignis der Aufführung" ("The vocal event of the performance") by Orpheus Opera International.   A current member of the ensemble at Theater Magdeburg, Thomas has performed across Europe with, among others, the Bayerische Staatsoper, Staatsoper Hamburg, Staatsoper Hannover, the Czech National Symphony, and the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival in Finland. From 2011 to 2013, he was a member of the Internationales Opernstudio at the Staatsoper Hamburg, and his early career highlights include young artist programs with Wolf Trap Opera and San Francisco Opera’s Merola Opera Program.   Thomas’s repertoire ranges from classical to contemporary, and includes such standards as Guglielmo (Così fan tutte), Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), Schaunard (La bohème), Dr. Falke (Die Fledermaus), as well as Willem/Prison Chaplain (The Trial, Philip Glass, 2014), Angel 6/Gardener/General (Seven Angels, Luke Bedford, 2011), and Police Officer/Asylum Doctor (Bliss, Brett Dean, 2010). He was also featured as Don Manuel in the 2015 German Premiere of Nevěsta Messinska by Zdeněk Fibich.   In addition to performing the standard repertoire, Thomas devotes himself to educating the next generation of musicians and music lovers. He performs in children’s operas, narrates symphony concerts for families in both German and English, leads post-show conversations with young audiences, and works with local schools to provide in-school presentations.   Competition successes include the 41st NATS Artist Award Competition (Grand Prize Winner, 2011), Shreveport Opera Singer of the Year Competition (First Place, 2011), Houston Grand Opera Eleanor McCallum Competition (Second Place, 2011), Opera Columbus Irma M.
