Steinway Artist Susan Merdinger has been internationally acclaimed in prestigious newspapers and journals for her stunning performances. A laureate of numerous international piano competitions, Merdinger performed her sold-out Solo Carnegie Recital Hall Debut Recital at age 25 as a winner of the Artists International Young Musicians Competition in New York, and has continued to grace the stages of the world's finest concert halls. Merdinger has soloed with numerous orchestras such as the Chicago Philharmonic and the State Symphony Orchestra of Mexico, working with distinguished conductors such as Gabriela Diaz Alatriste (Mexico), Mattia Rondelli (Italy), Francesco Milioto, Glenn Cortese, Ariel Rudiakov, Sandra Dackow and Barry Hoffman. With a vast repertoire spanning four centuries, Merdinger has toured in the USA, Canada, Europe and Mexico and regularly performs with members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, National Symphony Orchestra (USA), New Jersey Symphony and many other renowned musicians. She is a Visiting Artist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, performing on their Chamber Music series at the Art Institute for past five years. Merdinger's live performances and recordings have been broadcast on public radio and television stations in the USA, Canada and Europe. in 2016-2017 Merdinger records live the complete Sonatas for Piano and Violin and Piano and Cello by Beethoven, for WFMT's Live from WFMT series with Kerry Frumkin. Merdinger holds two degrees from Yale University and is conservatory trained in the USA and Europe. She is a member of the Summit Music Festival Piano Faculty since 2011.
