Her wide range spans three octaves, her repertoire thus ranging from Baroque to Modern Opera and new works by living composers. Equally at home on the opera stage as well as a soloist on the concert stage, Solmaaz kicks off the new year in 2016 debuting a new work by Grammy Award Winning Barry Phillips with the Santa Cruz Chamber Players, as well as works by Schubert and Korngold. In June 2016 Solmaaz will give the west coast premiere of Norwegian composer Kim André Arnesen's Requiem together with choir and orchestra 'Viva la Musica' in San Mateo, California. Her recital engagements take her regularly to perform in Pebble Beach at Church in the Forest and as the alto soloist for the Santa Cruz Chorale. Solmaaz’s 2015 summer highlights took her to perform for the Special Olympics World Games Los Angeles 2015 and in the 2014/15 season she performed for the Asheville Lyric Opera’s Winter Gala, and commemorated the 50th Anniversary of The Sounds of Music held by the US Embassy of Vienna.  She sang the American National Anthem for the US Embassy of Vienna's Commemoration Ceremony of 9/11 which was broadcasted LIVE on ORF, Austrian National Television. Previously, in 2013/14 Solmaaz Adeli performed for Austria's"Licht ins Dunkel" campaign with members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestrawhere they recorded White Christmas on ORF television on Christmas Eve, broadcast throughout Austria.  Since 2012, concert appearances and recitals have taken her to the US Embassy of Vienna, the Palais Belvedere, to perform with the Capella Leopoldina, the British Embassy of Vienna, the Brahms-Saal at the Wiener Musikverein to perform living composer Christopher J. Hoh's I Breathed a Song, the Vienna State Opera's Marmorsaal for a concert of Carmen arias, to perform for the patrons of the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, and for the Austrian American Council West gala in honor of the Special Olympics World Games Los Angeles 2015.  In 2010/11 Solmaaz Adeli gave her European debut as Flora at the Vienna Chamber Opera in Tomaso Albinoni’s Baroque opera Il Nascimento dell’Aurora and debuted the title role in François Pierre Descamp’s new opera Zumurrud and the role of Subaida in Rene Clemncic’s new opera Harun und Djafar in Vienna.  Solmaaz Adeli studied at the Konservatorium für Musik und Dramatische Kunst Wien and attended the Opernschule in Graz as well as master classes at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. She was awarded a position in the Opera Studio in Turin, Italy where she participated in Il corso di recitazione per cantanti lirici working with director Davide Livermore. Solmaaz has worked with conductors René Clemencic, F.P. Descamps, and directors Philip Stölzl, Davide Livermore, Timothy Near, and Kristine Tornquist. She has studied with KS Linda Watson, KS Hilde Zadek, Laura Brooks Rice, Susanne Mentzer, and Margreet Honig in Amsterdam.
