Bio


Born and raised in Brussels, Romain Dayez graduated from the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles and from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.




Based in Paris since 2010, he has had the chance to perform roles in over thirty lyric works (Opéra de Wallonie, Metz, Palermo, Tours, Nantes, Montpellier, Angers, Théâtre du Châtelet, Théâtre National de Marseille , at the Philharmonie de Paris, at the Théâtre Impérial de Compiègne, at the Théâtre de l'Athénée and soon at the opera houses of Bordeaux, Rouen, Reims, and the Théâtre Marigny ...).




His predilection for baroque and sacred music allowed him to sing in more than a hundred productions (Palais des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles, Notre-Dame de Paris, Arsenal de Metz, Saint-Eustache, Cathédrale de Bruxelles, la Madeleine, Gaveau, Petit Palais, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées etc..). Also devoted to contemporary music, he participated in over fifteen world creations and is as such invited to many festivals such as Avignon, Spa, Aulne, Sablé, Deauville, Rocamadour, La Chaise-Dieu, but also in Bergen (Norway), Bremen (Germany), Utrecht (Netherlands), in London and New York.




Romain Dayez is considered to be a true "all round” singer, but also specialized in crossover, participating in many atypical projects, with artists from varying art sectors (choreographers, directors, visual artists..) and for these qualities called for performances in famous places as at the Opéra de Paris, at le Louvre, at the Palais de Tokyo or at the Biennale in Venice.
