Rachel Anne Moore, a Seattle-born coloratura soprano, has spent the past 7 years working as a professional singer in both the operatic and musical theater realms in the US and in Germany. She received her Bachelor of Music from Indiana University training with Andreas Poulimenos and Patricia Wise. For her Master of Music, she attended the University of Tennessee where she was awarded the Spivey Humanities Fellowship as well as a graduate assistantship. Moore has been a finalist and winner in several competitions including 1st Prize in the Concorso Lirico "Musica InCanto" in Jesolo, Italy; the Bellini Prize at the Orpheus Competition in Murfreesboro, Tennessee; 2nd Prize in the Matinee Musicale Competition in Indianapolis, Indiana; and was a Finalist in the prestigious Sarzana Opera Festival in Sarzana, Italy. During her time in Tennessee she was member of the Knoxville Opera Studio and also traveled to New Hampshire to be a Young Artist with Opera North. Professional companies for whom she has sung roles include Knoxville Opera, Opera North, Capitol Opera Albany, and Stage Entertainment Germany. Donna Anna, Lauretta, Abigail Williams, Frasquita, Madame Silberklang, and Mabel are among the roles she has performed.
