Arnaud PAIRIER – WOLODKOWICZ,  French  Conductor
                  
               Arnaud PAIRIER studied conducting with Jean-Sébastien BEREAU, and won First Prize in conducting at the Dijon Conservatoire and obtained the “State Diploma” in wind ensemble conducting. He studied Analysis with Jacques CASTEREDE, composition with Christian BELLEGARDE and Orchestration with Alain LOUVIER. He has worked with Walter HÜGLER at the Bienne Summer Academy in Switzerland and with Jorma PANULA and has participated in several Opera Master class with Dejan SAVIC.

        Since 2007, he has regularly been invited to conduct abroad: in the Ukraine with the « Liatoshinsky » Kiev Chamber Orchestra, in Pärnu (Estonia), where he conducted two concerts broadcast live on Estonian Radio with the David Oistrakh Festival Orchestra as a conclusion to a training course with Paavo JÄRVI and Neeme JÄRVI. In France also, at the «Heures Romantiques » Festival, he conducted two Bach Cantatas with the baritone Udo Reinemann as soloist. He is regularly invited to the Opera Orchestra of Toulon and the «Victor Hugo» Orchestra of Besançon, where he has conducted works ranging from PINK FLOYD to populard classical works and contemporary pieces (by Bruno GINER, BOULEZ …). He has also conduted the Sofia Philharmonic (Bulgaria) in programmes including works such as La mer by DEBUSSY. He as also conduted at the Stara Zagora and Ruse Operas in Bulgaria . 
     In October 2010 he was invited on tour to Venezuela, where he conducted the Lara Symphonic Orchestra in Maracaibo, the Barquisimeto Symphonic Orchestra and the Simon BOLIVAR Orchestras of « Sistema ».

       His passion for opera has led him to conduct Butterfly by Puccini, Eugene Onéguine of Tchaikovsky, The flying Dutchman of Wagner, Traviata of Verdi, Saint-Saëns's Samson and Dallila, The Abduction from Seraglio of Mozart in Rousse (Bulgaria), Lucia di Lammermoor of Donizetti, Pagliacci of Leoncavallo, Cavalleria Rusticana of Mascagni, Hin und zurück of Hindemith, Die Sieben Todsünden and Mahagonny Ein Songspiel of Kurt Weill in Strara Zaroga Opera ( Bulgarie), Albert Herring by Britten, Debussy's Pelleas and Mélisande in Dijon, Offenbach's La Belle Hélène, The Poor Sailor by Milhaud in Lille, The Telephone by Menotti in Paris.. He has been Assistant at the Limoges Opera House for Poulenc's Dialogue of the Carmelites, and for Orphus and Eurydice by Gluck.
       
         From 2003 to 2006, he conducted a full Mozart symphonic programme at a moment’s notice with the Duo Dijon Orchestra and then regularly stood in for J.S. Bereau as Repetitor with the Dijon Conservatoire Orchestra (Brahms 1st Symphony, Schoenberg Verklärte Nacht, Chostakovitch Chamber Symphony, Symphonies of Beethoven, Roussel 4th Symphony, Debussy Nocturnes …). 

        In Dijon Auditorium, he was Conducting Assistant of Jean-François VERDIER (Bohème of Puccini, The Magic Flute of Mozart, The Barber of Seville of Rossini,…) and of Mstislav ROSTROPOVITCH (Lady Macbeth of Shostakovitch). From 2008 to 2009, Arnaud PAIRIER was Assistant Conductor for Jean-François VERDIER at the Lyon National Orchestra (France) and from 2006 to 2009 at the COGE (Paris University Choir and Orchestra) (Sibelius Symphony n°1, Brahms Symphony n°4, Mussorgsky's Pictures from an exhibition, Orff Carmina Burana…).
He also conducted the Victor Hugo Franche-Comté Youth Orchestra and the Toulon National Conservatoire Youth Orchestra from 2009.



                 In 2017 he was semi-finalist in the Blue Danube International Opera Conducting Competition and in 2012 in the conducting competition of Ville d'Avray (France), and finalist for the position as Musical Director of the Orchestra of Mayenne (France). He was selected to participate in the International Conducting Competition of Nice Opera in 2018, in the Felix Mendelssohn International Conducting Competition in 2016, in the Antal Dorati International Competition of Budapest in 2015, and in the 1st International Conducting Competition of Bucharest in 2011.

        Leading a double career as both conductor and clarinetist, Arnaud PAIRIER won First Prize at the Paris Superior Music Conservatoire and obtained the “CA” (the highest level certificate in Clarinet Teaching). He is also regular extra player with the Radio France Orchestra, Paris Orchestra... playing with conductors such as Georges PRÊTRE, Armin JORDAN, Günther HERBIG, Myung-Whun CHUNG, Serge BAUDO, Christoph ESCHENBACH, Luciano BERIO, Yuri TEMIRKANOV, Sergiu CELIBIDACHE … He also plays chamber music in France and abroad (the Onslow Wind Quintet, Jazz-style with Image Quartette on tours in South Africa, India ...)
