Bio

Pablo Rossi Rodino has developed a lyrical singer career that has led him to perform in four continents. He has recently sung Giorgio Germont from "La Traviata" by Verdi in Mendoza, Argentina, and a concert in Buenos Aires. He also debuted in the role of Smirnov in the opera "The Bear" by Walton at the Festival della Valle d'Itria 2016; he played the role of Escamillo in Bizet’s Carmen in Pescara e Recanati; he featured in the "Festa dell'Opera" in Brescia and he participated in the conference-concert "Verdi e il romanticismo pittorico italiano" in Martina Franca. He sang at the "Dubai International World Center", United Arab Emirates.
He was born in Rosario (Argentina) and also has Italian citizenship.
Since 2015 been perfecting his art with Maestro Antonio Lemmo and discovers his true voice: baritone. He is studying repertoire with Mª Enza Ferrari and Mº Fabio Centanni in Italy and Mº Rubén Sánchez-Vieco in Madrid, Spain.
He began his vocal studies at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario and completed his artistic and musical training in different countries and under the guidance of distinguished teachers.
In Buenos Aires he studied vocal technique and interpretation with Óscar Schiappapietra and repertoire with Maestro Guillermo Opitz at the Fundación Música de Cámara.
In Buenos Aires he has also attended in masterclasses with baritone Gerard Souzay and in 2000, he was invited by Renata Scotto, he took part in his Opera Master Class in Ischia (Italy).
In Madrid he studied with teachers Suso Mariátegui, Pedro Farrés, Daniel Muñoz, Enzo Spatola, Pedro Lavirgen and Jorge Rubio.
He won the First Singing Prize at the XV Selection of Young Students of Music of the Mozarteum de Santa Fe, detachment Salzburg (Austria).
He began his lyrical singer career as a tenor. With the passing of the years he has performed numerous opera roles, Don José in Carmen by Bizet, Alfredo in La Traviata by Verdi, Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore by Donizetti, to name but a few.
Since the beginning of his career he is also performed Zarzuela: Luisa Fernanda and El manojo de Rosas by Moreno Torroba, Doña Francisquita by Vives, La Rosa del Azafrán and Los Gavilanes by Guerrero and La Dolorosa by Alonso.
He also debuts pieces by contemporary Argentine composers and specializes in Lieder, Italian Chamber Music, Mélodie française and Canción Española.
His recording career includes a premier of Orphée, Le Cimetiere Marin and Cantata For the times being, by Walter Frandjie, with the Chamber Orchestra of the CEAM of Buenos Aires.
He has performed on many international venues including: Auditorio Nacional, Teatro Español, Teatro Reina Victoria, Centro Cultural de la Villa and Matadero de Legazpi in Madrid, Lope de Vega in Seville, Apolo in Barcelona, ​​Buero Vallejo in Guadalajara, Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao, Olympia in Valencia, Auditorio de Galicia in Santiago de Compostela, Centro de Artes Escénicas in Salamanca, Corral de Comedias in Alcalá, Pérez Galdós in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Tenerife Opera Festival, Niemeyer Center and Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria in Avilés, Teatro El Círculo and Fundación Astengo in Rosario (Argentina), Instituto Cervantes of Manchester (United Kingdom) and Casablanca (Morocco).
He has sung under a variety of eminent conductors, including Gianluca Martinenghi, Alberto Zedda, Miguel Roa, Oleg Caetani, Tulio Gagliardo and Gustavo Fontana; and, among others, under the stage direction of Pierre Luigi Pizzi, Giancarlo Del Monaco, Jean Luis Grinda, Gustavo Tambascio, Willy Landin, Elena Pimenta, Carlos Fernández de Castro and Hugo Pérez.
