Bio

Born in Córdoba (Spain) He realized his studies at the Conservatory of his hometown with the tenor Juan Luque. He developed his vocal studies at the prestigious Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg, under the tutelage of Helena Lazarska and Giovanni Ceto, specializing in the Mozart repertoire. Throughout his artistic career he has had master classes with Teresa Berganza, Plácido Domingo, Ana Luisa Chova, Ernesto Palacio, Roger Vignoles and Enedina Lloris, besides other, as well, renowned figures. As regards chamber and symphonic music, her participation in concert seasons dedicated to Lied stands out, as well as concerts with the most prestigious orchestras, with which he has performed in auditoriums such as the the Salle Gaveau in Paris, Liceu de Barcelona, Palau de les Arts de Valencia, Academy of music in Oslo, Lidertafel of Mozarteum in Salzburg, and many others in cities such as Berlin, Rennes, Lausanne. Among his recent successes, we must highlight Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni and Le nozze di Fígaro at the Ópera de Oviedo (Teatro Campoamor) and at the Palau de les Arts and Teatro del Silenzio in Turandot with Zubin Mehta (Pong), Toulouse with Doña Francisquita by Emilio Sagi´s stage direction, and Traviata (Gaston) at the Opéra de Lausanne. He has also maintained an intense activity in the choral symphonic repertoire, being invited to participate in Mozart's Requiem in the season of the Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga as well as in the Festival Musika-Música in Bilbao with Haendel's  Johannes Passion.   Since his debut in Die Zauberflöte at the Teatro Villamarta in Jerez he is regularly invited to prestigious opera theaters such as the Opéra Royal Wallonie in Liège (La Vera Costanza), Palau de les Arts "Reina Sofía" in Valencia (El dúo de la Africana, La Boheme and Cosí Fan Tutte), Teatro Comunale Mario del Monaco in Treviso (La Vera Costanza), Teatro Calderón in Valladolid (La Canción del Olvido),Teatro Villamarta in Jerez (Norma, Falstaff, Macbeth and Traviata), Teatro Gayarre and Auditorio Baluarte in Pamplona (El guardián de los Cuentos), Teatro-Auditorio San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Carmen), Teatro Real in Madrid (La Vera Costanza), Festival Internacional de Música y Danza de Granada (El Retablo de Maese Pedro), Auditorio de Murcia (Lucia di Lammermoor), Gran Teatro de Córdoba (Les contes d´Hoffmann, Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Traviata) and Fundación Juan March in Madrid (Cendrillon). We also give emphasis to his work on the opera I Due Foscari of G. Verdi (Palau de les Arts) where he played the role of Fante with  Plácido Domingo. He has  worked with conductors of the stature of Riccardo Chailly, Zubin Mehta, Jesús López-Cobos, Omer Meir Wellber, David Parry, Andrea Battistoni, Hernández Silva, Benjamin Bayl or Aarón Zapico among others; and with important stage directors such as Calixto Bieito, Guy Jootsen, Emilio Sagi, Jean Louis Grinda and Davide Livermore. Additionally he has recorded on CD Decca Turandot with Zubin Mehta and on DVD La Bohème (Puccini) conducted by Riccardo Chailly.
