Winner in many Competitions in Mexico: “Carlo Morelli”, “Sinaloa´s Opera”, “San Miguel´s Opera”, “Iberoamerican Irma González

” and semifinalist in Germany at International Singing Contest “Competizione dell´Opera”. In 2016 he won the prizes “3rd prize "Irving Olson”, “Berger Artists Management” and “Freddy Fox School of Music, University of Arizona” in the International Singing Contest “Linus Lerner” in San Luis Potosí, Mexico and in the same contest Mr. Velazquez won the 2nd prize "Larry Leung" in 2017 ". He has been directed by important mexican and foreign conductors: Enrique Patrón de Rueda, Ivan Angelov, Niksa Bareza, Enrique Carreón, Enrique Diemecke, Eduardo Álvarez, Carlos Miguel Prieto, Srba Dinic, Lanfranco Marcelletti, Linus Lerner, José Areán, among others.
Some of his most important presentations are the premieres in Mexico of Strauss´s “Die Frau ohne Schatten” with stage direction by Sergio Vela and conducted by Guido Maria Guida and Britten´s “The Rape of Lucretia” conducted by Andre dos Santos. In Manaus, Brasil Mr. Velázquez interpreted “Klingsor” in Wagner´s “Parsifal” conducted by Luis Fernando Malheiro in the Amazonas Theatre and as well in Italy he sang the play “Rios Intangibles” by Gabriela Ortíz in the“Venice Biennale 2015. 56th International Art Exhibition”.
He has earned “Placido Domingo Grant” from “Sociedad Internacional de Valores y Arte Mexicano (SIVAM), and he was a memberof “Bellas Artes Opera Studio” in Mexico. At the time he is a member of the Scenic Arts Company “Escenia Ensamble” directed by Ragnar Conde, and also of the “Solistas Ensamble” vocal group by Fine Arts National Institute, Mexico.
