Bio

Nicola Simoni earned a degree in Piano and in Choral Conducting at the Adria National Conser- vatory (Italian National University), a degree in Orchestral Conducting at Accademia Musicale Pescarese (with M°Donato Renzetti) and the French National Diploma of music professor. He studied composition and specialised in orchestra and choir conducting with M° Filippo Maria Bres- san, M ̊Piero Bellugi and M ̊Giancarlo Andretta. He is the permanent conductor and artistic director of « Orchestra della Saccisica" and guest conductor of "Orchestra Nazionale Artes". Over the last few years he has collaborated with Flo- rence Symphonyetta (Italy), the "Italian Youth Choir", Orchestra Artes of Prato (Italy), the Bellagio Festival Orchestra (Italy), the women's chorus "Latomas" (Italy). He conducted the orchestra and choir «Anima una » in Minsk (Belarus), the choir « Egresadas de San Justo » in Buenos Aires (Ar- gentina). From 2009 he is regularly invited by the theatre « Unione Italiana » of Lobos-Buenos Aires (Argentina)
He conducted Carmina Burana (orchestral version) in "Teatro Verdi" of Padua and Palazzo Du- cale of Revere - Mantova, the Seoul Proart Orchestra at Daeyang Hall (Seoul), La Serva Padro- na at "Palazzo Zuckerman of Padova », La Traviata at Pyeongtaek Art Center (Korea), “l’elisir d’amore” by Donizetti at Como’s Lake (Italy). He has worked as assistant conductor of Antonino Fogliani at « Opéra de Rouen » , « Opéra de Monte-Carlo » and « Opéra de Dijon » (France).
He’s the artistic director of the Festival Liricheggiando and of the International Masterclass in expressive singing and stage acting with M ̊ Stefano Vizioli (director) and M ̊ Alessandra Althoff Pugliese (singer) and Fernando Cordeiro Opa (singer).
He is the winner of numerous competitions: first prize at the international composer competi- tion "Premio Thema 2004" (Bari) and the scholarship "Bayreuther Festspiele 2012" (Wagner As- sociation, Venice) ecc...
He has given masterclasses for choir and has lectured at the National Academy of Music of Minsk (Belarus), the "Provincia de Buenos Aires" (Argentina), the Gyeongsang National Uni- versity (Korea) and at the Iksan musical high school (Korea). Actually, he is main professor of “Formation musicale” and conductor of the orchestra of the Conservatoire of Nîmes (France).
