Bio


Bass-baritone Nathan Milholin is a third year Resident
Artist at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. While at AVA he has
performed Sparafucile in Rigoletto, Leporello in Don Giovanni,
Méphistophélès in Faust, and Colline in La Bohème, among other roles.
This past February, he debuted as Don Magnifico in La Cenerentola with
Opera in the Heights. Prior to joining AVA, Mr. Milholin completed his graduate
studies at Yale School of Music as a member of the opera program. At Yale, his
operatic repertoire consisted of Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte, Junius in The
Rape of Lucretia, Capellio in I Capuleti e i Montecchi, and Bertran
in Iolanta. Mr. Milholin has participated in many summer opera
festivals, including Central City Opera, Festival Mozart in A Coruña,
Spain, The Glimmerglass Festival, and the Castleton Festival. This coming
summer, he will join the Santa Fe Opera as an Apprentice Artist.
