Bio

Nataļja Černohajeva was born in Riga, Latvia. She graduated from Latvian Academy of Music (JVLMA) with a bachelor degree in opera singing in 2012 studying with Kārlis Saržants. During her studies she participated in the productions of the opera studio 'Figaro' of JVLMA where she performed Nanny (Eugene Onegin), Kastcheevna (Kaschey the Immortal) and Death (chamber opera Stalin and Death). She has taken part in several master classes, organized by Latvian National Opera including with Axel Everaert (Belgium), Paolo de Napoli (Italy) and Margarita Gruzdeva(Latvia). Currently Nataļja is coached by Latvian National Opera's soloist,soprano Julianna Bavarska. Nataļja was the participant of young artists' program «Opera academy» in Latvian National opera and Ballet in 2012-2013 and performed Orlofsky (die Fledermaus). Her lied repertoire includes Seven Spanish Folksongs (Manuel de Falla), as well as a selection of Russian, German and French songs and romances. Her operatic repertoire includes Olga, Eugene Onegin. She holds a Bachelor's degree in IT from Riga Technical University. She has been the artist of the Latvian National Opera choir since 2009 till present.
