"The sweetness of Elsa von Brabant was won by the voice and figure of Natalie Bergeron. The character’s hesitations and hopes were perfectly expressed in every note sung by this adorable soprano.” – - Lohengrin Theatro Municipal Sao Paulo 2015 American Soprano Natalie Bergeron recently achieved an enormous success in her role debut as Elsa in Richard Wagner’s Lohengrin at the Theatro Municipal Sao Paulo. Concerto magazine noted of her performance, “Natalie wowed us immediately…Hers is a splendid voice, young, loving, with a warm timbre but with a silvery shimmer at the same time, and also musical with perfect emission, but what’s more than this, she IS Elsa, portraying her love, fear and contradictions.” Previously she was seen as Maddalena opposite Marcello Giordani as Andrea Chenier, and Alberto Gazale as Gerard with the Orchestra La Verdi Milano under the baton of maestro Jader Bignamini who subsequently brought her back to sing with the Orchestra La Verdi in an extraordinary concert of Italian opera later that year. Natalie created the role of Blanche Germont in the Premiere of Dodici Personaggi in Cerca di Voce by the renowned Maestro; Bruno Rigacci in Chiari, Italy. She has performed Ines while covering Leonora in Verdi’s Il Trovatore with Opera Memphis, and has performed a variety of roles including numerous productions as Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Rosalinda in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus, Lady Billows in Britten’s Albert Herring, Countess Almaviva in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, Sylvianne in Lehar’s The Merry Widow, Musetta in Puccini’s La Bohème, and with Opera Birmingham the role of Giovanna in Verdi’s Rigoletto. Natalie is a two-time recent grant recipient from the Wagner Society of New York and a winner in the Liederkranz Wagner Division, which included her debut at Carnegie Hall.  She was accepted into the Evelyn Lear/Thomas Stewart Emerging Wagnerian Artists Program in Washington D.C. She has performed as a Featured solo artist in concert with such organizations as the Alabama Symphony, The Birmingham Concert Chorale, The Huxford Symphony, The Tuscaloosa Symphony, The Beethoven Club of Memphis, Orchestra di Teatro Bellini in Catania Italy, and in Tel Aviv with the Israel Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Metropolitan Opera Maestro Paul Nadler.
