Bio


Lyric Mezzo-soprano Naama Gutmann was born and raised in Israel. She has moved to study in France after completing her military service, graduating with a Bachelor degree of french literature in Paris. Subsequently she moved to Berlin, where she graduated a Masters of Arts in russian
philology, italian philology and comparative literature. Following her passion to singing, she started taking voice lessons, with Prof. Werner-Dietrich (F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Music Academy in Leipzig) and Marina Levitt (Jerusalem Music Academy) later with Roberta Cunningham in Berlin and NY based teacher Neil Semer, whom sheattends regularly masterclasses with. She is a student of voice coaches and accompanists Maria Urbanovic, (Hans Eisler Academy) and of Andrej Hovrin, (Würzburgand Düsseldorf academies of Music). Her Fach-repertoire includes Mozart’s Cherubino, Dorabella, Annio, Händel’s Sesto, Ruggiero, Rossini’s Isabella, Angelina and Tchaikovsky’s Olga. She is particularly keen to russian and norwegian Lied repertoire.

Naama is a regular member of the Synagogal Ensemble Berlin. She has also participated in different choir projects and appeared as a soloist in various public concerts in Germany.

She is fluent in Hebrew, English, French, Russian, Italian, German, Norwegian. She has attended in the past a high-level ballettraining.
She resides in Berlin with her family.
