Bio





Born in Zaragoza into a family of musicians stretching back several generations, Mohamed Barca began his studies in piano at the age of seven with his mother, Carmen Sancho.  He graduated with honors in Piano and in Chamber Music from Conservatorio Superior del Liceo in Barcelona. During his studies, he took part in numerous masterclasses, taught by outstanding pianists, such as Pedro Carboné, Therese Diette, Mykola Suk, José Ramos Santana, Jerome Rose, Chang Rok-Moon and Steven Mayer among others. Between 1992 and 1997 he studied Geography and History at the University of Zaragoza.



He has performed as soloist in Zaragoza, Huesca, Madrid, Barcelona, Sabadell and Ibiza among other Spanish cities.


He attended the advanced summer courses from IKIF at Mannes College of Music in New York in 2002 and 2005. These courses were managed by Pedro Carboné, Aragonese pianist with permanent residence in the USA.

Between 2003 and 2005 and recently he travelled regularly to London, where he took lessons from the well-known Australian pianist Leslie Howard.

In 2009, he was chosen to take lessons from Josep Mª Colom at Aula de Música of the Alcalá de Henares University.

In 2015 he obtained a Master's Degree in Music Performance Research at the International University of Valencia after working on a large repertoire with the pianist Eugen Indjic.
