The Macedonian soprano Milena Arsovska acquired her Master’s Degree in Opera at the MUK - Music and Arts University of the city of Vienna and she achieved her Bachelor Degree in Solo Singing from the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Faculty of Music in Skopje, Macedonia. During her studies she attended many master classes, among others with Claudia Visca, Doreen DeFeis, James Hooper and Ioan Holaender. Milena Arsovska was a finalist at the prestigious Leyla Genzer Singing Competiton in Istanbul in 2012 and won the second prize at the Dostal Operetta Competition in Vienna in 2011. She also won the second prize at the International OEJAB-Music Competition in Vienna, got a scholarship from Heder-Stipendium and was a finalist at the Crossover Competition-Heinrich Strecker in Baden bei Wien in 2013. Already at a very young age, the gifted singer was engaged at the Macedonian Opera and Ballet, where she made her opera debut as a shepherd in Tosca. Later on she performed Erster Knabe in Die Zauberflöte, Flora in The Turn of the Screw, Elvira in L'Italiana di Algeri and the title role in Donizetti's Rita. In 2007/2008 season, she achieved a great success with the multimedia project Dorothy- Disconcert of Oz with Fanny & Alexander Theater Company, while touring through Italy and Germany. During her master studies at MUK Milena Arsovska sang the role of Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, Pamina and Papagena in Die Zauberflöte and Eurydice in Orpheus in der Unterwelt. In 2010 Milena Arsovska made her debut at Theater an der Wien as one of the Böhmische Mädel in Die Fledermaus and she had her second guest engagement in 2012 with the production Il Trittico singing Seconda Cercatrice in Suor Angelica. In the summer of 2012 Milena Arsovska embodied the Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Zerlina in Don Giovanni at the Summer Festival in Semmering, Austria. In 2013 she returned to the festival as Adele in Die Fledermaus. Her first engagement in Germany was at the Theater in Magdeburg in 2015 where she sang the role of Gretchen in the comic opera Der Wildschütz. This successful season brought her to her second debut in that year: Singing the leading role of Stravinsky’s Nightingale, Milena Arsovska premiered at the National Theater Prague.
