BIOGRAPHY Praised for her &ldquowell-rounded, creamy soprano” by MusicalAmerica, Michelle Trovato is quickly becoming recognized internationally for her warm and agile voice and dynamic stage presence.   Ms. Trovato was most recently awarded a grant from the International Festival Society and has won awards from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, the Liederkranz Foundation, Opera Index, Inc., the Marie Kraja International Opera Competition, Opera Les Azuriales, and the Concorso Internazionale di Canto Lirico “P. Cappuccilli”.  Other credits include:  Seattle Opera, Opera Colorado, Utah Festival Opera, Bel Canto at the Caramoor Festival, Brooklyn Philharmonic, Stamford Symphony, Jackson Symphony, Symphonic Orchestra of Tirana (Albania), the Crimea Philharmonic Orchestra (Ukraine), and the Kennedy Center.  Notable opera roles include: the title roles in Anna Bolena, Maria Stuarda and Lucia di Lammermoor, Violetta (La Traviata), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Mimi (La Boheme), Nedda (I Pagliacci), and Micaela (Carmen). The 2013-14 season began with an appearance with the Metropolitan Opera Guild and will continue with Honegger’s Le Roi David for the Park Avenue Arts Festival and her third consecutive season as soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the Orchestra of the Bronx.    www.michelletrovato.com
