Often praised for her charismatic performance and rich color of voice, Mayan recently participated in her first concerts out of a series of performances with the Barock Vokal Excellence Program in Mainz, Germany.
Starting April 2018, Mayan will also join the Dresdner Residenz Konzerte series at the Zwinger Palace in Dresden as one of the series' regular soloists.
Nowadays she is looking forward to her Schwetzingen Festspiele concert debut with the Camerata Villa Musica under the baton of Werner Ehrhardt, where she will sing arias from Niccolò Jommelli's "Didone abbandonata".
Some of her recent engagements include a concert with the Neumeyer Consort under the guidance of Andreas Scholl with Barock Vokal Mainz, Contessa Almaviva under the baton of Sigiswald Kuijken and La Petite Bande Academy orchestra, as well as Soeur Constancein Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmelites, concerts as a soloist and prize winner in the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg Festival, a concert with the Preußisches Kammerorchester, a prize winner concert with the Berlin Song Festival and her role debut of Despina in Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte with the Dublin Opera Studio. Over the summer of 2016, Mayan has reprised the role of
the Dew Fairy in Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel at the Oslo opera house as part of the LidalNorth program, as well as excerpts of Massenet's Cendrillon, in which she sang the title role.
Mayan is also a winner of the Berlin Song Festival Merit Award (2017), the Brooklyn College Performance Award (2015), the Brooklyn College Theater Award (2014), 1st prize winner of the Buchmann-Mehta School of
Music annual vocal competition (2013), the Buchman-Heimann Scholarship (2010) and the American Israeli Foundation Excellence Scholarship (2008).
As part of her training, Mayan has participated in numerous international masterclasses such as Barock Vokal Excellence Program (2017), La Petite Bande Academy (2017), Balance Arts Opera Berlin
(2017), The London Song Festival (2017) The Berlin Song Festival (2017), LidalNorth Oslo (2016, 2014) and Songfest at Colburn (2015) and with acclaimed musicians such as Sigiswald Kuijken, Andreas Scholl,
Sophie Daneman, Graham Johnson, Margo Garrett and Lucy Shelton.
In the years spent pursuing her degrees both in New York and Israel (M.Mus. and B.Mus., respectively), Mayan performed roles such as Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica,Madama Cortese in Il Viaggio a Reims, Annina in
La Traviata, Beth in The Tender Land, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Amor in Orfeo ed Euridice, and Sandman and Dew Fairy in Hänsel und Gretel.
In concert repertoire she performed the soprano solo in Poulenc's Gloria, the soprano solo in Vaughan Williams' Serenade to Music, and with the BMSM orchestra in a selection of songs from Mahler's Des Knaben
Mayan is an avid singer of art songs and has performed regularly from 2009 to this day in both solo and chamber recitals in Felicja Blumental Hall in Tel Aviv, as well as in the BMSM concert series.
