Bio


He was born In Catania (Italy) and started to study singing at first with Maestro Francesco Celso and later with Maestro Paolo De Napoli in Florence. He won the International Prize "Giuseppe Anselmi" in Catania. He made his debut in the operettas "The Countess Maritza" and " The Princess of Czardas", both by E. Kalman at Metropolitan theatre of Catania. He wrote the libretto of "Aitna" By Matteo Musumeci (one of Andrea Bocelli's favourite composers) and sang two roles in this opera at the National Theatre of Ostrava (Czech Republic) and at the International Opera Festival of Katowice (Polland). He played in a movie by Beppe Cino, "Quell'estate felice", performing an Italian american singer.He held several concerts at the Vincenzo Bellini Theatre of Catania, singing opera arias, operetta and musical. He sang Nemorino (L'elisir d'amore) at the international opera festival of Ercolano (Naples) with the San Carlo Theatre orchestra conducted by Hirofumi Yoshida. He sang Tinca in Puccini's Tabarro, Rossini's Petite messe solennelle, and Tony in Bernestein's westside story at Tripcovich Theatre of Trieste. Uldino in Verdi's Attila, Don Ottavio in Mozart's Don Giovanni, The count of Almaviva in Rossini's il Barbiere di Sivilglia, Camille de Rossillon and Danilo Dalìnilowitch in the Lehar's "Die lustige Witwe", Siedler in Benatzky's "Im weissen rossl",the Prince Sandor Boris in "Die Herzogin von Chicago" and many others, performing in many prestigious theatres such as Verdi of Florence, Valli of Reggio Emilia, Ponchielli of Cremona, Alfieri of Turin, Manzoni of Milan.
