Bio


Maria Laura Bertoli, Soprano, was born in Sassari on 1984. She graduated in opera singing with honors, and currently she is pursuing her Master's degree in Lieder Performance at “Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi” of Milan . She has participated in a workshop about Stanislawsy metod and she performed one of the leading roles of E. Ionesco's play “The Killing Game”. She attended the masterclasses of numerous outstanding musical figures, such as the Soprano Luciana Serra, the Soprano Marinella Pennicchi on baroque repertoire, the Alto Bernadette Manca di Nissa and the Musicologist Maestro Guido Salvetti. In the 2010 she won an international scholarship in chamber music repertoire from the Krakow Academy of Music . She made her debut in 2010 in the Teatro Verdi of Sassari. She has participated in different musical performances, such as the concert in Montecarlo with the Novara children choir, the Verdi anniversary celebration at the Società Umanitaria in Milan, and the performance of the “Jewish Folk Poetry” op. 79 by D. Shostakovich in the Milan Association “Musicando Insieme”, as well as in several concerts at Milan's Museo del 900’, the “Circolo Filologico Milanese” and the “Associazione Amici del Loggione” of the Teatro Alla Scala.She won the first prize in the Pinerolo “Role Competition Cappellin” in 2013 and she sang as Despina in W. A. Mozart's “Così fan tutte” in the Teatro Comunale of Pinerolo. Furthermore, she won the prestigious scholarship “Richard Wagner” from the Wagner Association of Milan in collaboration with the Bayreuth Festival.
