Born, 1962, in Milan, Marco Cecchinelli studied at the "N.Paganini" Conservatorium of Music in Genoa where he received his diplomas, in piano with Lidia Arcuri in 1983 and in 1989 for composition with Federico Ermirio.

In this period he also studied chamber music with noted international pianist Massimiliano Damerini and has succesfully taken part in national and international Competitions.Later he participated in several master classes, with Mario Delli Ponti and Piero Rattalino ("Asolo-Musica"), with noted international pianist Murray Perahia and with Carl Schacter in Florence ("Amici della musica") dedicated to Chopin and Schenkerian analysis, with Oxana Yablonskaya in Ascona and Locarno ("Ticino musica") and also as conductor at the "G. Verdi" Conservatorium of Music in Milan with Gabriele Bellini.

He has taken part as pianist-collaborator in International courses for flute with Andrè Nicolet, violin with Rosa Fain, singing with Mariella Devia among numerous others.

Then he has collaborated with important institutions of concerts and performed succesfully in concert-hall which “St. Martin-in-the-Fields” in London, “Bosendorfer Saal” in Wien, Teatro alle Erbe, “Sala Puccini” of the “Conservatorio Verdi” and “Università Cattolica” in Milan, Auditorium of the “Teatro Carlo Felice” in Genoa, “ Villa Rufolo” in Ravello, “ il Tempietto “ in Rome, Sorrento, Firenze, Trieste, Ravenna and many others.

In these last years he has given several piano recitals in Germany and Denmark (Hamburg, Köln, Hannover, Potsdam, Kiel, Lubeck, Wolfsburg, Copenaghen, Aarhus, etc.) and has produced a CD for the  label “Philarmonia “. Succesfully of critic and public has obtained its perfomance of the Goldberg-Variationen in 2008 to Wolfsburg and 2009 to the Epidaurus Festival of Dubrovnick.

He debuted recently in solo piano recital in Australia, in Sydney and Melbourne.

He has been teacher at Conservatorium of Music in Torino, Mantova, Modena, Piacenza and Sassari; now he is piano accompanist and teacher at Conservatorium of Music “G. Verdi“ in Milano.
