Bio

Marco Angioloni is an Italian tenor born in Arezzo and living in Paris. He first graduated as an oboist in 2010 at the “L. Cherubini” Florence Conservatoire before dedicating himself to singing.
He then began his vocal studies with Donatella Debolini in Florence and a year later continued his training in Paris with Jean-Francois Rouchon before joining the CMBV (Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles) with Viviane Durand and Enzo La Selva.
He has taken part in masterclasses with Christine Schweitzer, Maarten Koningsberger, Chris Merritt, Jeff Cohen, Barbara Bonney and in the baroque field with Sara Mingardo, Claire Lefilliatre and Yetzabel Arias Fernandez.
He made his operatic debut in 2013 as Normanno (Lucia di Lammermoor) at l’Apostrophe, the national theatre of Cergy-Pontoise (France).
Since, Marco has performed in numerous concert halls and festivals, including the Tuscan Sun Festival, Auditorium Parco della Musica di Roma, Chapelle Royale de Versailles, Tongyeong Concert Hall (South Korea), Festival Marin Marais, Festival de Musique Ancienne de Vanves, Festival Baroque de Pontoise, Teatro Verdi, Teatro Comunale di Firenze, Théâtre de Gagny, Théâtre de Poissy, Théâtre du Châtelet, Opéra Royal de Versailles, Opéra de Paris, Theater An der Wien.
Recent and current opera credits include Orfeo (Monteverdi's Orfeo), Lurcanio (Ariodante), Mercurio (La Virtù de’ Strali d’Amore), Goro (Madama Butterfly), Pang (Turandot), Truffaldino (L'Amour des trois oranges), Arlecchino (Pagliacci), Bastien (Bastien et Bastienne), le Fils (Les mamelles de Tirésias), le Brésilien (La Vie Parisienne), Don Basilio (Le Nozze di Figaro), le Chevalier de la Force (Dialogues des Carmélites), Prunier (La Rondine).
He was lucky to work with many prestigious conductors such as Andrew Lawrence King, Matteo Beltrami, Peter Neumann, Luis De Pablo, Nicola Piovani, Marcello Rota, Jonathan Webb, Jérôme Hantai, David Fallis, Olivier Schneebeli, P. Bismuth, Paul Agnew and Christophe Rousset.
He has been a finalist in the L. Zanuccoli and the N. Orizzonti competitions and has released a recording of extracts of operas by Cherubini for the label Aethalia, some musics of Charpentier for the label Mirare and the Salieri's opera Les Horaces with Les Talens Lyriques (Christophe Rousset) for the label Aparte.
Last season, he was Achille and Oreste (La Belle Hélène) at Théâtre Clavel(Paris) with David Koenig (stage director), the Sultan Soliman (Zaïde) with Jean-Daniel Laval (stage director); he sang also the roles of Apolline and Ireno in Landi's La Morte d'Orfeo with Les Talens Lyriques and Christophe Rousset for the Festival de Royaumont, Vulcain in Lully's Psyché at the Auditorium Marcel Landowski and Murmilla in Telemann's Richardus Löwenherz at the Magdeburg Opera House (Germany).
For the 2018/2019 season he will also be playing the role of Arbace in Mozart's Idomeneo under the baton of David Stern with Elsa Rooke as stage director and the tenor solo in the contemporary opera "Le Songe de Godefroy" at the Théâtre Italien d'Epinal (Epinal, France).
Marco's upcoming engagements include also the roles of Bellezza in the Stradella's oratorio Santa Editta at Festival de Musique Sacrée de Nyon(Switzerland), A-Rab (West Side Story) at the Théâtre La Barbacane (Beynes, France) and the Premierminister in Korngold's Die Stumme Serenade at the Théâtre de la Coupe d’Or (Rochefort, France).
Marco Angioloni is also a graduate of the Royaumont Fondation.
