Bio



As an avid choral vocalist, Mandi Steele has performed in various styles, genres, and venues throughout her career. Ms. Steele's repertoire has consisted of early Renaissance polyphony, to modern atonal compositions both as a soloist and as a choral member. She is currently a member of the GRAMMY-nominated ensemble South Dakota Chorale, as well as a founding member of Transept, a new choral ensemble based in Sioux Falls South Dakota.  Summer of 2018, Ms. Steele attended the Seraphic Fire Professional Choral Institute held in conjunction with the Aspen Music Festival in Aspen Colorado.

As a soloist, Ms. Steele's most memorable role was Marcellina in the Award-Winning production of Marriage of Figaro with the University of South Dakota. She placed second in the graduate division of SD NATS and was the winner of the annual Concerto/Aria Competition and performed with the USD Orchestra. Ms. Steele has performed as the alto soloist on Mozart's' Coronation Mass in C as part of the Sacred Arts Series at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Sioux Falls. She is an active performer in the Sioux Falls area and will make her solo debut with the Good Night Theater Collective for their Holiday Cabaret.
