Jugendlicher Heldentenor

«Best on stage among the gentlemen was absolutely the Danish tenor Magnus Vigilius, who sang the role of Erik, and without the usual hunting equipment. When Magnus Vigilius entered the stage from the right wing, it lifted the whole performance, and it must surely qualify as a truly excellent debut as a Wagnersinger.»
Operalogg (2016)
«Magnus Vigilius was, with his beautifully ringing and baritone-voluminous tenor-voice, the sovereign cast for the careless, arrogant Pinkerton.»
Ascolta opera magazine (2016)
«Magnus Vigilius sang Siegfried at the forge and Walther von Stolzing‘s Price Song from the third act of ”Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg” as if he were a student of Richard Wagner himself, with a declamation and expression, which also includes the Italian bel canto sensation. His Walther von Stolzing was the musical highlight and finest Wagner experience of the competition. He had a presence and intensity in Gralserzählung from “Lohengrin”, which fits his lyrical tenor perfectly. Vigilius´ insight and interpretation of the text was greater than any of the four finalists. He sings both wisely disposing his voice and very musically.»
