Bio


Born in 1990, Luca Vimercati performed as soloist and in music chamber ensembles in various festivals in Italy and Swiss such as XII edition of "Scatola Sonora" and "Ma che musica Marengo" in Alessandria and XXIII edition of "Restauri e chitarre" at the Sanctuary of Black Virgin of Oropa. He performed at the Grand Théâtre of Geneva with the soprano Fosca Aquaro for the “Fête de la Musique”.

The Italian composer Angelo Gilardino dedicated to him the fourth of the Seven Prelude for Guitar (2012), entitled "Asturiana".

He graduated with M° Luigi Biscaldi from the Conservatory "A.Vivaldi" of Alessandria in 2012 with highest grade cum laude.


He graduated from “Haute École de Musique” of Geneva where he completed a "Master Concert" in 2015 and a "Master in Instrumental Teaching" in 2017 with M° Dusan Bogdanovic


He attended summer courses with Angelo Gilardino, Luigi Biscaldi, Gianni Nuti, Cristiano Porqueddu, Lucia Pizzutel and Fabio Ardino and masterclass with Angelo Gilardino, Alvaro Pierri, Paul Galbraith, Arturo Tallini, Duo Gruber & Maklar.

He awarded in 2007 with a scholarship in the "Rassegna musicale per giovani musicisti" organized by Musikstrasse Association in Sanremo (Italy).

He plays a Renato Barone guitar.
