A rare and versatile performer, Liesl Odenweller consistently delights audiences and critics throughout Europe in her unique and exciting interpretations of a wide variety of repertoire. She is the recipient of numerous awards and grants, including the Liederkranz Prize in the US, the International Bellini Prize, and the Italian “Il Virtuoso” Prize. 

In 2012, Liesl was invited to co-found Venetia Antiqua with founding members of the prestigious Venice Baroque Orchestra as part of Venice Music Project in Venice, Italy. Other international concert and operatic engagements have featured her on the stages of Carnegie Hall, the Auditorium di Milano, the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, and Teatro La Fenice, collaborating with such orchestras as the Fenice Orchestra, Riccardo Chailly’s Orchestra Verdi di Milano, the New England Symphonic Ensemble, and the Neue Bachorchestra, and with conductors including Sir Jeffrey Tate, Andrea Marcon, Alan Curtis, Gunther Neuhold, Romano Gandolfi, and Raymond Hughes, and operatic stage directors Robert Wilson, Jonathan Miller, Paul Curran, Klaus Michael Grüber, and Thaddeus Strassberger. 

Liesl Odenweller’s recording début CD was “This Son So Young,” issued on the Tower Hill label, followed by “Tempeste e Lagrime.” She has recently recorded “Follia” with Venetia Antiqua.Liesl Odenweller’s forthcoming engagements include performances in Europe and the United States of the original pastiche A Venetian Affair with Andrea di Robilant and Venetia Antiqua, concerts at Carnegie Hall in New York, Cleopatra Giulio Cesare, Konstanze Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Queen of the Night Die Zauberflöte, and concerts and recitals in Venice, Rome, and New York.
