Bio


Leo d’Oro – the opera singer. A young artist of increasing prestige and reputation. He is well known for his beautiful voice, warm, rich and clear, combined with dramatic ability.

He made his debut as Il Barone Scarpia in Verdi’s Tosca in 2018 with Associazione di Tito Gobbi at Teatro Orione in Rome. He also received an award from Rai TV and Radio Vaticana for the interpretation of Scarpia.  

He sung Leporello at Merola Opera Programme in San Francisco. During Merola Grand Finale in San Francisco Opera House he performed Alidoro from Rossini’s La Cenerentola, “and it was a particular treat hearing his young, pretty, pliable bass-baritone in music that is usually assigned to gruffer, older singers”. He also performed Banquo Macbeth Verdi with Kennet Opera and Songs Concert in Barbican Hall in London.

Leo d’Oro was Gyndebourne Jerwood Young Artists where he prepared scenes of Figaro Le Nozze di Figaro Mozart, Aleko Aleko Rachmaninow and participated in Eastbourne Meads Music Festival.

He graduated with distinction from prestigious Opera Course at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London where he was awarded The George and Charlotte Balfour Award. 


During his residency at Guildhall he created and performed many bass baritone and baritone leading roles as: Il Conte,Figaro Le nozze di Figaro Mozart, Don Goivanni, Masetto Don Giovanni Mozart, Gremin and Zaretsky Eugene Oniegin Tchaikovsky.

Other roles: Der Sprecher Die Zauberfloete Mozart, Ratcliffe Billy Budd Britten, Pistola Falstaff Verdi, Don Alfonso Cosi Fan Tutte Mozart, Nick Shadow The Rake’s Progress Stravinsky, GolaudPelleas and Melisande Debussy, The Count Donizetti Francesca di Foix ; 5 roles (Fireater/ ApeJudge / BigGreen Fisherman / Ringmaster /Farmer) in Dove’s Adventures of Pinocchio, GarridoLa Navarrise Massenet,  Bartolo Le nozze di Figaro Mozart, Quince A Midsummer Night’s Dream Britten and Mr Coyle Owen Wingrave.

Leo has been supported by ENOA , performed Leporello Don Giovanni Mozart and Ferrando Il trovatore Verdi scenes in Latvijas Nacionala Opera.

Leo also performed the role of Old Gypsy Aleko Rachmaninow in Wroclaw Opera House, role of Germano La scala di seta Rossini in Wroclaw Music Academy in Poland and role of La Commandatore Don Giovanni Mozart.
