The coloratura soprano Kristine Becker Lund graduated in 2001 from The Carl Nielsen Academy of Music with vocal teacher Lars Waage and was admitted to The Opera Academy in Copenhagen from where she graduated in 2004. Here she studied with Kirsten Buhl Møller.   Besides her vocal training in Denmark she also attended master classes both in Europe and in the United States. Here among vocal instructors such as David Adams in New York and Rosemary Dyer in Washington and furthermore she studied at Joy of Motion Studios, Washington.  Recently Kristine Becker Lund has a.o. sung New Year’s Concerts with Malmö Symphony Orchestra and a concert performance of Parsifal with Odense Symphony Orchestra. Future engagements include Frasquita/Carmen at the Royal Danish Opera. Kristine Becker Lund has appeared in number of main roles such as Handel's Alcina, The Countess/Le nozze di Figaro,Konstanze/Die Entführung aus dem Serail and as Fiordiligi/Cosi fan tutte with Jonathan Miller and Manfred Honeck. In Spring 2007 she sang the title role of Madame Butterfly in the critically acclaimed production at The Rialto Theatre in Copenhagen and later that year she participated in HRM Queen Margrethe II of Denmark's visit to South Korea, where she performed at a gala dinner.   Former engagements also include Adina/L'Elisir d'amore at Aarhus Summer Opera, Pamina/Die Zauberflöte at the Danish National Opera, New Year’s Concerts with Odense Symphony Orchestra, Verdi’s Requiem with Randers Chamber Orchestra, Countess/Le nozze di Figaro at Aarhus Summer Opera and the leading role in Noah’s Ark at Danish National Opera. Moreover she had her international debut as Pamina/Die Zauberflöte at Toulouse Opera in the season 2009/10. After that she sang the title role of Massenet’s Thaïs at Municipal Opera in Santiago, Chile and Madama Butterfly and the modern opera Sigurd Dragedræber at Den Fynske Opera. Kristine Becker Lund has besides opera engagements also performed both in Denmark and abroad in a number of oratory productions especially with the regional orchestras in Denmark.
