Bio

Colombian Baritone, have Suma Cum Laude degree in lyric singing from the Juan N. Corpas School of music in Bogotá. Had a scholarship from the Carolina Fundation in Spain which allowed him to do a post-graduate study in the Music conservatory of the Liceu in Barcelona with the Catalan tenor Eduard Gimenez. Then he moved to Madrid for complete his studies in the Queen Sofia School of music with Tom Krause (R.I.P) and Ryland Davies. He was selected as the best student of the year in the 2014/2015 curse receiving such acknowledgment from Her Majesty the Queen Sofia. Has received master class from recognized teachers like Jose Van Dam, Dawn Upshaw, Marjana Lipovsek, Helen Donath, Raina Kabaivanska, Teresa Berganza, Christopher Maltman, John Graham-Hall and scene and repertoire from Ralf Gothoni, Will Crutchfield , Giancarlo del Monaco and Ignacio Garcia.
Has been soloist in the Ópera de Colombia, Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santodomingo, Jaime Manzur Fundation, Cartagena International music festival, Gijon International Ópera Studio and in different sceneries of Colombia and Spain standing out in roles like Schaunard, Papageno, Ford, Slook, Germont, Barón Duphol and in preparation Figaro, Conde de Almaviva, Malatesta, Belcore, Valentin y
Marcello.
He was outstanding contestant and Winner of the National Singing Contest realized by the Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra in 2008 and 2011 respectively and finalist in the auditions for the Centre de Perfecionament Placido Domingo in the Palau de les Arts of Valencia.
