Bio


Born in Vienna, the director studied musicology and theater studies and graduated in 2008 with a degree in music theater directing from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. He gained initial experience as a director at the Vienna Volksoper. From 2009 to 2012 he worked as an assistant director for music theater at the Lucerne Theater, where he worked with Dominique Mentha, Vera Nemirova, David Hermann and Tobias Kratzer.

So far, he has staged works such as "La Serva Padrona" (Pergolesi), "Croquefer" (Offenbach) and "Alcina" (Handel), a production that was also screened at the Teatru Manoel in Malta in March 2009. In the basement of the Lucerne Theater, he co-produced the "Riemann Opera" by Tom Johnson in 2010 in co-production with the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences. He has directed, amongst others, the Lucerne Theater with Adolphe Adams "Le Toréador", with "Satyricon" by Bruno Maderna, Gaetano Donizetti's "Don Pasquale" and "Sweeney Todd" by Sondheim, and Saarländisches Staatstheater Saarbrücken with Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's opera "Der Golden Rooster "and Verdi's Falstaff.

At the Theater Regensburg he already staged "La Bohème", "Madama Butterfly" and "Martha".
