Countertenor Johannes Euler was born in Hannover, Germany and studied at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover from 2008 to 2016 with Prof. Markus Schäfer and Ralf Popken. His studies were expanded by masterclasses with Michael Chance, Evelyn Tubb, Anthony Rooley, Lynne Dawson and Maria Husmann.
Johannes Euler gave his opera debut in Georg Philipp Telemann's „Der aus der Löwengrube errettete Daniel“ at the theatre Osnabrück in 2013. In 2016 he sang a world premiere at the Staatsoper Berlin: Oscar Strasnoy's opera „Comeback“. He has worked with Strasnoy on several occasions – latest 2017 at the opera Halle.
In 2015 Johannes Euler sang the part of Oberon in the Hannover Conservatory stage production of „A Midsummer Night's Dream“ by Benjamin Britten.
2014 he was part of a CD-project with works by Harisson Birtwistle. It was reviewed positively (amongst others) by the New York Times and the BBC.
