British Soprano Jennifer Coleman is a diverse performer whose career spans opera, concerts, television, and recitals. She especially enjoys introducing new audiences to classical music.
Jennifer graduated with distinction from the Masters and Diploma at the Royal College of Music, London, where she was a Theo Max van der Beugel Scholar under the tutelage of Janis Kelly. She is a Britten-Pears Young Artist 2017. Recent roles include: Theodora (Theodora), Pamina (The Magic Flute), Taumann (Hänsel und Gretel), Mabel (The Pirates of Penzance), Frasquita (Carmen), 2nd Niece (Peter Grimes), Fili (Acis and Galatea - 2nd Version), Priestess (Iphigenie en Tauride).
Recent highlights include winning the voice category of Hatfield Festival 2017, Vixen (The Cunning Little Vixen) and Elisa (Il Re Pastore) for RCM Scenes, soloist in Bach's St John Passion, Brahms' Deutsches Requiem, several recitals for soprano. clarinet and piano, and ten different concerts with orchestra for the Young Virtuosi Music Festival in the South of France.
Future engagements for 2018 include performances and recording in New York, USA of composer Jim Lahti's Of Death and Planets for soprano, baritone and chamber ensemble.
