Bio

Born in 1990, Baritone Jan Żądło [ˈʒɔ̃ndwɔ], he made his operatic debut in the title role of Don Giovanni at the Silesian Opera in Bytom and in the Brown Theatre in Louisville Kentucky. He appeared as Papageno in Grand Theatre in Poznań, as Bardos in Jan Stefani's opera The Miracle or Cracovians and Highlanders at the Polish National Opera directed by Jaroslaw Kilian, where he also sang Halabardnik (Landknecht) in Władysław Żeleński's Goplana which was live streamed on theoperaplatform.eu. Recently he has sung Doner in Das Rheingold with Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra and The king/The ambassador/A woodcuter in La bella dormente nel bosco by Ottorino Respighi in Opera de Lyon.
Concerts with The Freiburg Philharmonic, The Silesian Philiharmonic, The Świętokrzyska Philiharmonic, the Zabrze Philharmonic and the orchestra of Polish National Opera in the opera Gala in Konstancin.  He was a member of Opera Academy of the Polish National Opera in Warsaw, where he was a student of Eytan Pessen, studying also with Matthias Rexroth and Izabela Klosinska. Masterclasses with Andrzej Dobber, Neil Shicoff, Jerzy Marchwiński, Tomasz Konieczny, Rudolf Piernay. He completed his MA studies at The Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice.
He won the second prize in The 16th Imrich Godin International Vocal Competition Iuventus Canti. and received distinctions at the International Vocal Competition Antonina Campi Lublin Competition 2017 and Katowice - Ars et Gloria 2017.
