Polish conductor of young generation. Degree in conducting at the Academy of Music in Wroclaw and philosophy at the University "Adam Mickiewicz" in Poznan. He made his conducting debut in 2004 Wroclaw Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra in the final concert that concluded the International Course for conductors held by Maestro Kurt Masur. In 2007 he continued his studies in conducting of opera lirica under the guidance of Maestro Donato Renzetti in the context of courses organized by the Music Academy of Pescara. For several years he studied conducting under the guidance of the masters such as Gabriel Chmura, José Maria Florêncio, Mieczyslaw Gawronski, Kurt Masur, Donato Renzetti, Antoni Wit, Tadeusz Zathey following numerous courses in conducting in Poland and abroad . In the years 2006-2007 cooperated with the Polish Theatre in Wroclaw. In 2006 he conducts the concert  with the Wroclaw Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, one of the best orchestras in Poland, finishing his studies in conducting with honors from the Academy of Music in Wroclaw and immediately began an intense activity as a conductor. He has performed in Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Germany and Italy. In 2008 he was a member of the jury of the International Competition of Opera Armel in Hungary organized in collaboration with the French TV Mezzo. Several seasons collaborates with the Baltic Opera of Gdansk as beginning in January 2011 for three seasons he served as artistic director of this theater. In Gdansk has directed such works as "Don Giovanni" by Mozart, "Rigoletto", "La Traviata" by Verdi, "The Nutcracker" by PI Tchaikovsky, "Cinderella" by S. Prokofiev and "Maria" by R. Statkowski always getting rave reviews from the public and critics. The premiere of "Cinderella" by Prokofiev with choreography by Eugenio Scigliano got great success and was regularly marked in the bill of the theater. In recent years Jakub Kontz was host of the most important orchestras in Poland. He directed concerts with the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic in Warsaw (with music Poulenc and I. Stravinsky) and the Symphony Orchestra of the Polish Baltic Philharmonic during a gala charity organized by the Lions Club Neptune in Gdansk. He has collaborated with the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the Wroclaw Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Polish Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra, Polish Orchestra Symphony Iuventus, Capella Bydgostiensis, Symphony Orchestra of the Pomeranian Philharmonic, International Youth Symphony Orchestra of Pescara, Sofia Festival Orchestra (Bulgaria), Szeged Symphony Orchestra (Hungary).  http://www.iteatridellest.com/giuseppe-verdi-la-traviata-the-baltic-opera-danzica-3-ottobre-2015-ita-eng/
