German soprano Ines Vinkelau discovered her passion for music and singing at a very young age. Straight out of school she was admitted onto the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln to study singing with Klesie Kelly-Moog. There she took part in several productions, such as “Albert Herring” and “L’enfant et les sortilèges” at the Theater Aachen. In 2014 she moved to Berlin to continue her studies on the Master program in Opera at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler. She studied with Prof. Anna Korondi, Júlia Várady and Wolfram Rieger. Ines took part in several master classes, amongst others with Teresa Berganza, KS Marjana Lipovsek, Helen Donath and Janet Williams and is a scholarship holder of the Deutschland and Bayreuth Stipendien as well as the Sommerakademie Salzburg. In 2017 she got a scholarship for the Académie musicale de Villecroze, France. In 2011 Ines won the 1st prize at the Euregio Vocalisten Concours in the Netherlands. Her roles include Norina/Don Pasquale, Najade/Ariadne auf Naxos, Adele/Die Fledermaus, Ännchen/Der Freischütz and Gretel/Hänsel und Gretel. In 2015 the young soprano gave her debut in the Konzerthaus Berlin and she is also a sought-after interpreter of contemporary music and Lied and recently premiered Rainer Bischof’s song cycle “Lieb’ und Leben” in the Schönberg Center in Vienna. Furthermore she took part in the debut performance of Siegfried Matthus' oratorio "Luther's Träume" in March 2017, further performances will follow in Ocotber.
