The Italian-Brazilian tenor Giovanni Tristacci has been pointed out by the specialized critique as one the new great talents of the Brazilian operatic scene, with great success in the lyric tenor repertoire. In 2016 he was "Roméo" in Roméo et Juliette (Gounod), in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, achieving great success of public and critique. He also sang "Ernesto", in Don Pasquale (Donizetti), in Porto Alegre. In past productions, he achieved great success in the production of Rigoletto (Verdi), when he sang the "Duke", in Belo Horizonte (2014), and two years earlier, in the same city, "Camille de Rossilion", in Léhar’s “Die lustige Witwe”. In 2012/2013 he sang "Tamino" at Manaus Opera Festival in a new Robert Driver production of Die Zauberflöte (Mozart), and a few months later he was "Narraboth" in Salomé (R. Strauss), in Belém (Brazil). He studied under Eduard Gimenez, at Concervatorio el Liceo, in Barcelona ( 2009/2010). In 2010 he was admitted to the Centro de Perfeccionamento Placido Domingo in Valencia, under the direction of Alberto Zedda. After that, he was accepted into the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elizabeth (Belgium), and studied under José van Dam and Jocelyne Dienst (2011-2013). Bachelor in music by the University of Rio de Janeiro, Tristacci studied for five years with tenor Eduardo Alvares. He currently studies with Isabel Maresca in São Paulo.
