Bio


Lauded for her "solid singing, beautiful sense of phrase, and acting acumen," Ms. Lorini is enjoying a budding operatic career. Currently she can be seen singing Dackel/Specht in Das schnauzer Füchslein with Landestheater Coburg. Other recent engagements include Annina/Der Rosenkavalier and Venus/Orpheus in der Unterwelt (Landestheater Coburg), Cherubino/Le nozze di Figaro (Madison Opera), Seconda Ancella/Medea (The Glimmerglass Festival), Julie/Carousel and Tuptim/The King and I (Carnegie Performing Arts Center), Kate Pinkerton/Madama Butterfly (The Santa Fe Opera), and Mercedes/Carmen and Dorabella Cover/Cosi fan tutte (Natchez Festival of Music). 

Ms. Lorini holds awards from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions (2011 Winner Ohio District), the Orpheus Vocal Competition (Bel Canto Award Winner), the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and the Lakes Region Opera. In addition, she has soloed with the Music in a Great Space Concert Series in Pittsburgh, PA and the Dalla Camera Recital Series in Oxford, OH.  

A Pittsburgh native of Italian and Lithuanian descent, Ms. Lorini earned a B.A. in Communication from Grove City College in Pennsylvania and a M.M. in Vocal Performance from Miami University of Ohio. In addition, she has studied at the Opera Theater and Music Festival of Lucca and the Salzburg Summer Chamber Music Institute, and has held apprenticeships with the Natchez Festival of Music, Dayton Opera, Opera Santa Barbara, the Glimmerglass Festival, and the Santa Fe Opera.
