Bio

Eleanor made her start as a young singer in Ireland at the Opera Festival in Wexford, in Statkowski's unknown Polish Opera Maria. In 2017 Eleanor toured to China, representing Australia as part of an Australian-Chinese cultural exchange. She was seen at Opera in the Paddock in New South Wales, and in concert with Heidelberg Choral Society, Victoria. She performed in London for the Tait Memorial Trust Prom Concert featuring Stuart Skelton and in recital for Wexford Festival Opera 2017. Eleanor sang as Mercedes in Carmen in Concert with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Alondra de la Parra. In 2018 Eleanor was a recipient of a Wagner Society Grant from the Wagner Society in NSW and will perform with Opera Queensland and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. 
 
She has sung various roles including Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Charlotte in Werther, Dorabella in Così fan tutte, Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel, Endimione in Cavalli's La Calisto, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Count Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus, Flora in La Travaita, a Flower Maiden in Parsifal, Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Der Komponist in Aradne auf Naxos, the roles of Siebel and Marthe in Faust, the roles of Olga and Madame Larina - Eugene Onegin, excerpts from Cavalleria Rusticana and many more. In Brisbane Eleanor performed as Idamante in Idomeneo with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra as part of the Lisa Gasteen National Opera School, and was seen in concert for the friends of Opera Queensland. In 2016 Eleanor toured Chinese Poly Theaters for the New Year Gala in Yantai and thereafter in 18 other Chinese Cities.

In the UK Eleanor sang roles at Dorset Opera Festival and Grange Park Opera and returned to Wexford Festival Opera many times in Ireland, singing as L'innocente in L'Arlesiana by Cilea and as La Ciesca in Puccini's comedy Gianni Schicchi. She sang at the Ryedale Festival in North Yorkshire in Janáček's The Cunning Little Vixen. Eleanor has performed numerous roles in opera productions as a part of the Bloomsbury Festival in London under conductor Jessica Cottis. She sang with Australia's national company, Opera Australia, in Sydney and in Melbourne, and has been a soloist at St Andrew's Cathedral in Sydney and Sydney's Town Hall and Concourse.

​In opera productions Eleanor has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, Schweizer Radio DRS, RTE Radio and ABC Classic FM. Eleanor was Mrs Fairfax in the Australian Premiere of Michael Berkeley's chamber opera Jane Eyre (libretto by David Malouf) while still a student at the Australian National University School of Music in Canberra. She also sang the role of Count Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus at the Llewellyn Hall. 

A keen concert singer, highlights of Eleanor’s concert work include JS Bach’s Mass in B Minor, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Handel’s Messiah and WA Mozart's music written for a play, Thamos, König in Ägypten. 
Eleanor is a grateful past recipient of an Ian Potter Cultural Trust Grant. In 2015, she was the winner of the Australasian Opera Competition at the Sydney Eisteddfod and was awarded a prize from the Wagner Society of NSW. In 2017 Eleanor performed in concert for Wagner Society NSW alongside Australian baritone Warwick Fyfe. Eleanor is grateful to the Sydney Eisteddfod, the Wagner Society in NSW, the Ian Potter Cultural Trust for their kind past support.
