Bio

The finnish soprano Eeva Hartemaa studied with Anu Kaal in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and with Luisa Castellani in the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana. She has participated in masterclasses given by Konrad Jarnot, Airi Tokola, Teresa Berganza, Raina Kabaivanska, Ernesto Palacio, Mikko Franck and Rilla Kyykkä. In 2013 she made her debut in the Finnish National Opera as the Countess Almaviva (W.A. Mozart: Le nozze di Figaro) and sang the role of Norina (G. Donizetti: Don Pasquale) in Pori Opera. In 2014 she appeared as Lia in a staged version of C. Debussy's L'enfant prodigue. Her earlier roles include Euridice (C.W. Gluck: Orfeo ed Euridice), Serpetta (W.A. Mozart: La finta giardiniera), Bastienne (W.A. Mozart: Bastien und Bastienne), Clorinda (C. Monteverdi: Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda) and Virtu (C. Monteverdi: L'incoronazione di Poppea). Eeva Hartemaa is performing regularly in recitals in Finland and abroad. She has performed with Oulu Symphony Orchestra, Kemi City Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and Orchestra Sinfonica del Lario.
