   Diana Orlanova, Soprano

    Diana Orlanova is a young artist, who has already acquired both solid vocal and music education and a high-level professional experience. Her repertoire includes more then 20 major roles, most of which were sung on stage or covered. Ms.Orlanova has worked with such conductors as Keri-Lynn Wilson, Vladimir Yurovsky, Vladislav Karklin, Alexander Petuhov, Sergei Fedoseev, Peter Wiegold.

        Diana has started her music education at the Conservatory school at the age of 5, as a violinist, pianist and composer. She then studied opera vocal performance at the two main Russian Conservatories - Tchaikovsky State Moscow Conservatory (2015, with excellence ) and Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory (2016, Master’s degree with excellence). Her conservatory professors were famous Bolshoi Theatre sopranos - Irina Maslennikova and Makvala Kasrashvili. Also, she has received a BMus(Hons) vocal performance/ composition degree from the Brunel University London (UK), where she has studied with a full scholarship in 2008-2011.

        From her first year at the Conservatory, Diana has become a soloist of the Opera Studio Theatre. All productions there were staged with full orchestra. Among the roles performed are Violetta (La Traviata), Mimi (La Boheme), Contessa (Le Nozze di Figaro), Marfa (The Tsars Bride). 2015-16 season was marked for Orlanova with debut in a role of Tatiana in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, historically-staged production of the Rimsky-Korsakov Opera and Ballet Theatre at the 3000 seats “Theatre Music Hall’ in St.Petersburg ( stage director - A. Stepaniuk, conductor- A.Velikanov.

        From 2012 to 2016 Ms.Orlanova was also training and performing as a soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre Young Artists Academy (YAP) in St.Petersburg. Starting with minor roles, covers and roles in several chamber children operas, she then made her remarkable and acclaimed big-stage debuts in roles of Gretel in “Hansel und Gretel” and Pamina in “Zauberflöte”.

        Diana’s artistic and musical versatility is evidenced by her performances of the mail role (Girl) in a contemporary opera “The Christmas Tree” (Rebikov, Mariinsky Theatre), as well as by numerous solo recitals and thematic concerts series, such as “The History of Operetta in 6 concerts”, “Song Masterpieces”, “Across the pages”. The venues for such programmes are usually major Halls of Moscow ( Bolshoi, Rachmaninov and White Halls of Moscow Conservatory, House of Music etc) and Saint Petersburg (Mariinsky Concert Hall, Philharmonic, Conservatory). Diana also performs a lot in different Russian cities and towns and in Europe (especially often in seasons 2016-17 and 2017-18) - Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Belgium, Hungary, UK.

       Ms.Orlanova has received awards and grants from M. Rostropovich International Foundation, V.Spivakov Int. Artist’s Program, Brunel University, Villecroze Foundation, TV channel “Culture”, “Russian Performance Arts” Association and others. She was also awarded top prizes at the several international competitions in Russia and abroad.
