Deborah Salazar is a french soprano.
In 2004, she started her training at the Conservatoire of Dijon in the children's choir foundated and
conducted by Yves Klein and she studied the piano with Thierry Rosbach, professor at the
Conservatoire Supérieur National de Musique de Lyon.
She took part to the children's choirs of Carmen, Tosca and La Bohème at the Opéra de Dijon. She
also sung in Elias by Mendelssohn (angels' choir) under Joël Suhubiette' baton, and in the
Polovtszian dances by Borodin, conducted by Pierre Cao.
In 2009, she obtained her end of studies Certificates in piano and Solfeggio at the Conservatoire de
Dijon. Holder of a National Diploma of Professional Orientation, she also won unanimously a first
price for advanced training in vocal studies at the Conservatoire de Valenciennes. In 2017, she postgraduated
with a Concertist Superior Diploma from the Ecole Normal de Musique de Paris.
She received precious advices from musicians such as Leontina Vaduva, Maestro Marco Guidarini,
Viorica Cortez, pianist Claude Bessman. During her superior studies, her instructors were Mireille
Larroche (Stage direction), Volker Haller (Diction), Nina Uhari (vocal coach, pianist), Daniel
Ottevaere (vocal technique).
She won the Price of the Centre Français de Promotion Lyrique twice, at the International Opera competition of Avignon for Young Talents and at the International Competition of Clermont-Ferrand. In Avignon, she also won the Young Talent Price. She also received a first price in meolide repertoire at the Bordeaux Competition, The third price of the International Bellan Competition, the Young hope price in the Béziers Competition. She was finalist in the International
Bellini Bel Canto Competition and also regional finalist in Montepellier for the Voix Nouvelles Competition .  In 2018, she was selected to participate to the Queen Elisabeth Competition. She won the Odiot award at the New Year Festival's vocal
masterclass in Gstaad in 2017.
In 2016, she also performed a piano recital at the Opéra de Bordeaux and she took part to a
masterclass given by Georg Nigl at the Opéra de Lille.
She has already performed full roles at the Opéra de Massy and Opéra de Clermont-ferrand, and in
various occasions first roles in places like Salle Cortot in Paris. She was invited to sing with the
Armel Festival Orchestra in Budapest and she often sings with a Barocco ensemble Musica Vera in Paris.
Deborah trains with the romanian colorature soprano Elena Poesina and has followed Jérôme
Correas' advanced training in Barocco repertoire at the Conservatoire de Toulouse. She recently entered the post-graduate training of the International Opera Academy of Ghent.
