Guatemalan born soprano, Daniela Yurrita, began her musical studies in her homeland at a young age. Miss Yurrita has performed as a soloist in numerous productions around Central America, Puerto Rico, the USA, Germany and Russia.

Daniela made her homeland debut with Guatemala’s National Symphonic Orchestra singing Mozart’s Requiem. She has performed as a soloist in productions of Suor Angelica, Der Schauspieldirektor, Cosi Fan Tutte and Rgoletto, she has also sung partial roles and scenes form La Boheme, Die Fledermaus, L'elisir d'amore, Don Pasquale and The Rape of Lucretia among others. In addition, she was a part of Puerto Rico’s Opera Choir from 2011 to 2014.

She is currently pursuing a double Master's degree at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim, in Germany. She specializes in Lied and Concert music in addition of being a part of the institution's Opera School. There, her vocal development is in charge of Prof. Rudolf Piernay and Prof. Timothy Sharp. This year, she was selected as one of the artists of the Live Music Now Rhein-Neckar Foundation.

Miss Yurrita graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music. There, she studied under the tutelage of the American tenor and vocal pedagogue, Prof. William Woodruff. In her years at the conservatory, Miss Yurrita featured as a soloist with the institution’s major ensembles, such as the Conservatory’s Orchestra and Choir, the Conservatory ́s Big Band and the Conservatory’s Contemporary Music Ensemble (Alea 21.)

Prizes and recognitions include the the Dr. Rabelo Bel Canto Prize, in San Juan, PR (2014), Fundación Daisy Marrero Prize at the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions district of Puerto Rico (2013) and the Young Bel Canto Artist Medal granted by the Societá Dante Alighieri de Guatemala and Premio Artista del Año (2005). 

She has participated in various young artist programs such as The International Institute of Vocal Arts (IIVA) in San Juan, Puerto Rico (2010), The V.O.I.C.Experience in Orlando, Florida (2012), and American Masters of the Opera in Moscow, Russia (2014) as well as the Puerto Rico Bel Canto Festival, in San Juan, Puerto Rico (2013) and the Savannah Voice Festival in Savannah, Georgia (2013). Where she has had the opportunity of refining her talent with world renowned artists.
