Daniel Schliewa is a young german Tenor. He studied with Prof. Michael Gehrke and Prof. Manuela Uhl at the Musikhochschule Lübeck.

Nowerdays he study with KS Irmgard Boas.


Daniel Schliewas career started very early as a member of the Children's Choir of the Stateopera Hamburg. There he sang in Carmen, Tosca, La Cavalleria Rusticana, Hänsel und Gretel, Pagliacci and A Midsummernight’s Dream (Solo Cobweb) where he was inspired from great singers and conductors.
Already during his studies he got engagements at Theater Lübeck (The Peddler - Venus in Africa), Theater Bremen (Lehrbube - Meistersinger), Kammeroper Hamburg (Froh - Rheingold), Engelsaal Hamburg (Stefan Koltay - Viktoria und ihr Husar), Elbphilharmonie (Male Chorus - The Rape of Lucretia) and Bulgaria Hall Sogia (Kragel - Strauss: Blindekuh | World Premier)

As a Lied- and Oratorio-Singer he sang in different european countries.

2013 he sang a DVD produktion of Missa Choralis from Franz Liszt (Soloist) and he was covering a soloist from stateopera Hamburg in Liszt Requiem.
In 2016 Daniel Schliewa founded the Tenor Trio "Les Grands Chanteurs".

In 2018 he was making his Elbphilharmonie Debut in Hamburg with a concert produktion of Brittens The Rape of Lucretia.

2019 he will Record the Part of Kragel in Strauss Blindekuh for NAXOS. He also will sing in Korngolds „Das Wunder der Heliane“ at the Theater Lübeck.


As a member of various ensembles he worked with conductors like Simone Young, Robert Stehli, Christoph Eschenbach, Eric Whitacre, Rolf Beck, Sir Jeffrey Tate, Kent Nagano, Kaspars Putnins and Dario Salvi.
This was done with orchestras like Hamburger Symphoniker, Hamburger Philharmoniker, Orchestra of Schleswig-Holstein-Musik-Festival, the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie and the Sofia Philharmonics.
 

Daniel Schliewa recieved a scholarship at the Bayreuther Festspiele.
