Bio


An accomplished, awarded and educated Orchestral and Opera Conductor, with experience of renowned artists such as Luciano Pavarotti, Fabio Armiliato, Mariella Devia and Michael Pulieff. Cristian has become uncompromising in his artistic standards and vision and exhibits unique passion, inspiration and leadership for his field.

He performed in such illustrious venues such as the Boston Opera House, Lincoln Centre (New York), Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre (Atlanta), Capitol Theatre (Sydney), Melbourne Art Centre, Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, Hyogo Performing Arts Center (Osaka), Gunpo Culture & Arts Center (Seoul), National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall (Taipei) and Blaisdell Concert Hall (Honolulu).

In February 2017 he joined the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra at the Robinson Center, as off-stage conductor for Mahler 2nd Symphony, featuring soprano Kristin Lewis and alto Christin-Marie Hill.


Recently he conducted the London Classical Soloists and the Orchestra Regionale Filarmonica Veneta in Vicenza (Italy).

From 2008 to 2010 Cristian held the position as Music Director of Savoy Arts Company and Rockdale Opera Company in Sydney.

In 2015 he was awarded a place at the European Conducting Academy to study with Maestro Lior Shambadal (Principal Conductor of Berliner Symphoniker) and Maestro Romolo Gessi (Professor at Berliner Misterkurse) . 

In 2007 recognition of his talent he was awarded for two years in a row the Goossens Fellowship for Conducting and the International Merit Scholarship to study with Maestro Imre Palló for his Master degree in Conducting at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music .

He also studied composition with Robert Mann and conducting with Simone Fermani. 

Cristian held a Master in Piano performance.

From 2004 to 2007 he was the assistant conductor at Teatro dell'Opera di Roma (Gala Balanchine), Teatro Massimo di Palermo ('Andrea Chenier', Verdi Requiem), Sydney Opera House (Puccini's 'Madama Butterfly' and 'La Bohéme'), Parma Opera Festival ('Isabeau'), the Opera Festival of Florence and Pistoia ('Rigoletto' and 'Carmen'), Festival of Taormina (‘Turandot’ and 'La Traviata’). Assistant Conductor and pianist with Maestro Luciano Pavarotti on his production of 'La Bohème' at the Teatro della Fortuna in Fano.
