Bio

Soprano Claire DiVizio is a Detroit native currently based in Chicago, IL. She has been in seen in Cincinnati as Salud in De Falla's La Vida Breve, in San Francisco as Giorgetta in Puccini’s Il Tabarro, in Louisville KY as Blanche de la Force in Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites, and in Bytom, Poland as Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni.  She has appeared in concert and recital in New York, Chicago, Boston, Detroit, Louisville, and throughout the Midwest, and is particularly sought-after by composers for her skill with contemporary music. In 2016 she made her company debut with St. Petersburg Opera Company as Leonora in the Emerging Artist cast of Verdi’s Il Trovatore, and will be returning to the company in 2017 as Antonia in the Emerging Artist cast of The Tales of Hoffman. In addition to her work as a singer, she is also the Executive & Artistic Director of Thompson Street Opera Company, which produces operatic works by living composers.
