Misericordium), Albeniz (Merlin), Copland ("The Tender Land, Old American Songs), Vaughan Williams (Dona Nobis Pacem, Fantasia on Christmas
Carols), Adams (Hubbard/Dr Atomic), Getty (King Henry IV/ Swallow, Plump Jack), Delius (Martinez/"Koanga"), etc. He is also highly committed to participating in modern and rarely performed pieces having performed the title role in Busoni's  Doktor Faust, the title role in Albeniz' Merlin, the title role of  Chuhadian's Arshack, Urdazpal in Euscudero's  Zigor, Manu in Guridi's Mirentxu as well as having great success in the role of Prus in Janacek's Več Makropulos.




Robertson's extensive concert and recital repetoire includes recent performances of Schubert's Winterreise with pianist Ruben Fernandez Aguirre.  He has performed works by Bach (Magnificat, Weihnachtsoratorium, Matteus-Passion, Johannes-Passion, B Minor Mass), Beethoven (Symphony 9, Choral Fantasy, Christus am Ölberge), Berlioz (L'Enfance du Christ/Herode), Brahms (Requiem), Britten (War Requiem, Rejoice in the Lamb, Cantata Misericordeum), Fauré (Requiem), Handel (Messiah, Joshua), Haydn (Die Jahreszeiten, Lord Nelson Mass),  Mozart (Requiem, Mass in C), Orff (Carmina Burana), Puccini (Missa di Gloria), Rachmaninov (The Bells), Zemlinsky (Lyric Symphony).  




Mr Robertson performs the role of Le Marquis de la Force in the DVD recording from Teatro alla Scala of Robert Carson's production of Poulenc's "Les Dialogues de las Carmelites" under the direction of Riccardo Muti. He is featured as Althair in the Telarc recording of Richard Strauss' "Die Aegyptische Helena" with soprano Deborah Voigt and the American Symphony Orchestra.  He sings King Henry IV in the recent Pentatone recording of Gordon Getty's opera "Plump Jack".  Ulf Schirmer conducts the Bayerische Runkfunkorchester-Chor.  He also sang the role of Riccardo in the Nuova Era recording of "I Puritani" by Bellini.  Mariella Devia stars as Elvira under the direction of Richard Bonynge.  




 Recent engagements have included Kurwenal in "Tristan und Isolde" in a production by Yannis Kokkos at the Greek National Opera,  returning
 to the Teatro Maestranza for the role of Hubbard in Sevilla's production of Adam's "Doctor Atomic" and in Zemlinsky's "Der König Kandaules".  He  returned to Genova's Teatro Carlo Felice to repeat the role of Mr Redburn in Davide Livermore's production
 of Britten's "Billy Budd", a return the Wexford Festival Opera as Martinez in "Koanga" by Delius as well as concert performances in Bilbao's Teatro Arriaga with the Orquesta Sinfonica de Bilbao conducted by Oliver Diaz.  




Future engagements  include concerts of Mozart Requiem and his first fully staged production of "Falstaff" in the title role at  La Festival d'Opera d'Ivvissa.  Mr Robertson is an alumnus of the distinguished Merola Opera Program at the San Francisco Opera as well as the Wolf Trap Opera.  He was awarded a Career Grant by the Richard Tucker Foundation.  He is a graduate from Oberlin College where he studied Vocal Performance under Professor Richard Miller.
