Canadian dramatic coloratura soprano Chelsey Schill has performed numerous leading roles all over Europe, including the Queen of the Night in Mozart´s "The Magic Flute" (Cologne Opera House, Seefestspiele Berlin, Teatro Nacional de Sao Carlos etc.). Her broad rage of repetoire includes Musetta in Puccini’s "La Bohème" (performed at opera houses in Leipzig and Lisbon) and Violetta in Verdi´s "La Traviata" (Gala Concerts Toronto and Lisbon), Poppea and Nerone in Handel´s "Agrippina", Marzelline in Beethoveen's "Fidelio" as well as Waldvogel in Wagner’s "Siegfried" & Woglinde in Wagner’s "Götterdämmerung" under the direction of Graham Vick. 

Chelsey´s love for contemporary music has been an ongoing passion throughout her musical career. She has sung multiple world premieres in Europe and Canada -the leading soprano role Tomasz Prasqual’s opera "The Architecture of Light" (Poznan, Poland & Cologne, Germany), the role of Despina in Kerger`s "Fintenzauber" (Grand Theatre de Luxembourg & Städtische Bühnen Münster) and the Green Snake in Nunes` "Das Märchen (Teatro Nacional de Sao Carlos). The DVD release of "The Architecture of Light" is expected in early 2017.

Oratorio & concerts performances include Beethoven's "Ninth Symphony" under the direction of José Cura, Mendelssohn's "Elias", Brahms' "Ein deutsches Requiem" and Vivaldi's "Gloria". In May 2017, Chelsey will sing one her most beloved parts - the soprano role in Orff's "Carmina Burana" with the Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt.

Chelsey Schill was born in Oakville, Canada. She earned a Bachelor of Music as well as a Diploma in Opera at Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada, then continued her studies at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne, Germany, obtaining an Artist Diploma with distinction.
