Caroline started singing after graduating from Durham University with a degree in music specialising in composition. &nbspEncouraged by her first teacher, Norman Welsby, to pursue a singing career she studied to attain a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance Studies from the University of London.  Her operatic roles have since included performances as Tosca (Tosca) for Heritage Opera, Fiordiligi (Cosi fan Tutte) for Opera UK and Birmingham Chamber Orchestra, Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte) for British Youth Opera and Surrey Opera, Clorinda (La Cenerentola) and Adina (L'elisir d'amore) for Vox Lirika, Gilda (cover) and Countess Ceprano (Rigoletto) for Heritage Opera, Adèle (Die Fledermaus) for Steyning Music Society, Tatyana (Eugene Onegin) for Birmingham Chamber Orchestra, Jane (The Three Wayfarers) and the Lace Seller (Death in Venice) in the Aldeburgh Festival - a role she went on to perform at the Bregenz Festival in Austria, where she also appeared as the ZDF Director and Airport Officer in Mason's Playing Away.  As a concert performer Caroline has sung in venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and St John's, Smith Square and in live performances on Radio 3.  She has performed as a soloist for choirs and orchestras in venues across Europe, highlights being Mozart's Exsultate, Jubilate, Schubert's Magnificat, Handel's Messiah, Vivaldi's Gloria, Wagner's Wesendonck Lieder, Rachmaninov's Vocalise and Mahler's Symphony No. 4.  She recently made her debut in Birmingham Symphony Hall as the soprano soloist in Brahms’ Requiem. An experienced session singer, Caroline has also sung with the BBC Singers, RSVP Voices and Conventus in numerous concerts and recordings. She appears regularly with Darren Clarke as the duo Trovatori, with whom she regularly performs at corporate events and on cruise liners. Caroline has received coaching from David Syrus, Mary King, Anthony Legge, Donald Maxwell and Steven Maughan and continues her vocal studies with Arwel Treharne Morgan.
