Bio

Brenda Belohoubek is a versatile crossover soprano who has appeared in concerts, festivals, and various productions across the United States. Some of her favorite venues to perform at include the Detroit Opera Theatre, Opera America, Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center, Avery Fisher Hall, and Carnegie Hall. Her glistening coloratura and warm, lyrical voice has earned her a variety of roles including Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro), Mademoiselle Silberklang (Der Impresario), Bastienne (Bastien und Bastienne), Josephine (HMS Pinafore), Suor Constance (Dialogues des Carmélites) Sophie (Werther), and both Frasquita and Micaëla (Carmen). She also enjoys performing new works and premiered the role of Lisa in Robert Butt's Cask of Amontillado in 2014, and sings with various musical groups in the Greater New York area. Belohoubek is currently pursuing her Masters of Music in Opera at Mason Gross School of the Arts, studying under Eduardo Chama. In addition to her operatic career, Belohoubek has a BM in Music Education from William Paterson University. She is the vocal adjunct instructor at Ramapo and Indian Hills Regional High Schools and has a growing studio in Bergen County for voice, flute, and piano.
